Enterprise B2B

Enterprise onboarding that supports seven-figure deals

Sysco

Enterprise B2B · SFMC + data architecture

B2B MarTech that backs revenue motions, not just newsletters. Cell Build designs the data and journey architecture; Cell Ops runs account onboarding, stakeholder nurture, and opportunity-aware paths so the program does not die in a handoff.

Situation

Where the work sat

Sysco-class B2B work is not drip nurture cosplay. Enterprise onboarding and seven-figure transaction support mean Marketing Cloud has to respect account hierarchy, stakeholder routing, and long sales cycles. The audience is operators and decision-makers who will ignore anything that feels like consumer spam.

Data Cloud and CRM adjacency show up because account truth rarely lives in one DE. The stack has to reflect how the deal actually moves.

What was broken

Why it was hard

Generic campaign factories miss the operating model. They optimize for send volume and creative variants while account data stays messy, opportunity stages disagree with journey entry, and procurement still expects a grown-up partner in the room.

Handoffs kill B2B programs: an SI builds the architecture, a different vendor “runs campaigns,” and nobody owns whether onboarding still works six months after go-live.

What the Cell did

How we approached it

Cell Build + Cell Ops: the same specialists who design the data and journey architecture also run it. Named journey families map to real commercial motion: enterprise account onboarding, multi-stakeholder nurture, opportunity-stage enablement, renewal and expansion paths, and operator education that stays useful instead of promotional. Email and journey craft stay sober: clear, accurate, useful to the buyer.

When Data Cloud is in play, activation into Marketing Cloud is part of the definition of done, not a phase-two slide.

Week to week

How it ran

Program management that can sit with marketing ops and still ship. Change control tied to CRM and opportunity realities. QA that includes multi-stakeholder paths. A bench that understands when a “campaign request” is actually a data model problem.

Outcome

What stuck

Enterprise onboarding journeys owned end-to-end. Data model aligned to account and opportunity reality. A bench that can sit with procurement and still ship without turning every request into a change-order novel.

Why it still matters

What buyers should take

B2B MarTech buyers are tired of consumer-agency patterns bolted onto account-based reality. This engagement shows what a Cell looks like when revenue ops and marketing ops share one platform path.
